At Franklin Early Learning, children benefit from a unique learning environment co-located with Franklin School. Through regular interaction with the school community, educators and students, children build confidence, independence and the skills they need for a successful transition to school.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years and also offer before and after school care, as well as holiday programs onsite. Our flexible services provide families with trusted, consistent care in a familiar and supportive environment.

To nurture each child’s sense of belonging, we create calm, unhurried environments where they can grow, explore, and develop at their own pace.

Our philosophy

At Franklin Early Learning, we see children as capable, curious and resourceful learners. We create inspiring environments that encourage children to explore, discover, question and reflect.

Our play-based curriculum is guided by children’s interests and supported through intentional teaching, fostering confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

We value strong relationships and ensure every child feels safe, respected and supported. Through connection to nature, respect for Ngunnawal Country, and embedded Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, we nurture a sense of belonging and responsibility.

We embrace each child’s unique journey, creating calm, unhurried spaces where children build resilience, learn through play, and grow at their own pace.

We aim to learn, grow, connect, and thrive—together.

Aged-based rooms

At Franklin Early Learning, children are grouped into age-based rooms that reflect their developmental stage, interests and individual needs. Each room provides a carefully designed environment and program that supports children’s growth, learning and wellbeing.

Our educators tailor experiences to each age group, ensuring children are appropriately challenged, nurtured and supported as they progress through their early learning journey.

Diversity & Wellbeing

Franklin welcomes staff and families from a diverse range of backgrounds and celebrates this diversity by weaving cultural awareness into our programs and activities.

Our commitment to the Sanctuary Model—a trauma-informed, whole-of-culture approach—supports us in fostering a safe, emotionally intelligent environment where strong, respectful relationships can flourish and everyone feels valued, connected, and secure.

Community Connections

We are proud to be active members of our local community, with strong partnerships established with local businesses and respected figures in Franklin. We regularly engage in local excursions, often exploring the natural environment as part of our ongoing commitment to caring for Country.

Our connections extend into the wider Anglicare community. One of our most valued initiatives is our Intergenerational Program, developed in partnership with residents of our nearby retirement village, fostering meaningful relationships across generations.
