Creating safe homes for women and children escaping domestic violence in Goulburn.
The Federal Government’s Safer Places Grant has enabled Anglicare to build six new houses in Goulburn for emergency and transitional housing.
However, we rely on the generosity of donors to cover ongoing costs to make these new houses a place of refuge and healing.
Your support will help us cover operational costs and buy new furniture as we’d like families to be able to take what they need with them as they move to permanent housing. Your partnership will ensure the fridge and pantry is always fully stocked when a new family arrives and that we can provide soft toys to comfort children who are feeling scared and overwhelmed.
It is this practical support that makes the world of difference for a family torn apart by domestic violence.
For a family who have fled with just the clothes on their backs, your support will be life changing.
Anglicare acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of our land and seas. We acknowledge the history of this land and for the stories
of resilience and survival which make up Indigenous Australia. We give thanks for Aboriginal Elders and Knowledge Keepers of every generation, including the many Aboriginal families and communities
which contribute to the life of our region. Read more about our Reconciliation Action Plan.
