Anglicare Pantry Appeal
Team up with your colleagues, classmates or congregation to organise a Pantry Appeal and collect donations to help fill Anglicare’s food pantries.
By donating to Anglicare’s Pantry Appeal, you provide urgent food and essential living items to families in need.
What is the Anglicare Pantry Appeal?
Anglicare partners with schools, churches, organisations, and individuals to collect non-perishable food and essential items. These donations are distributed through our Emergency Food Relief centres to support people in the community experiencing hardship.
Pantry Appeals are a practical way to support vulnerable members of the community.

Support Pantry Appeal financially
Financial donations have a huge impact. With limited storage space and high logistical costs, financial gifts allow our pantries the flexibility needed to purchase exactly what is needed, when and where it’s needed—reducing waste, cutting costs, and increasing our impact.
Frequently Asked Questions
Anglicare’s Pantry Appeal is a year-round initiative. While, traditionally, the lead up to winter has been a popular time to launch an appeal, we gratefully receive Pantry Appeal donations at any time and encourage schools, community groups, churches and local businesses to organise a Pantry Appeal at a time that suits them.
The items donated towards our Pantry Appeal are distributed to people in need who seek assistance at St John’s Care in Reid, Food Fair at Anglicare Retail in Queanbeyan, the Junction Youth Health Service in Canberra City, the Gordon Community Centre, Arawang Emergency Relief Hub and at our regional offices across NSW including Goulburn, Wagga Wagga and Moruya.
There are a number of ways to help Anglicare’s Pantry Appeal:
By donating: You can donate non-perishable food and essential living items – such as canned vegetables, rice + pasta, sauces, school snacks and items like toilet paper and toothpaste.
By organising a Pantry Appeal: Why not mobilise your workplace, school or church to support Pantry Appeal?
By volunteering: Join an ongoing Pantry Appeal as a volunteer.
