LIFE AT Brindabella court

Active and welcoming

They said I could bring two dogs. They asked me if I wanted to come and have a look and I said ‘No I just want to put my name down.’ There’s regular meetings and they ask our opinions about things. We started a vegetable garden. People run a happy hour each week and a morning tea, a few of us go over to the Gang Gang cafe. There are bus trips that they organise for us, they’re good outings.

So very homely

I lost my husband on the 4th of May this year. Everybody here in the village has been absolutely wonderful and very, very supporting. I’ve made many friends here and there’s lots to do if you want to do it. It’s small enough to know everybody. My son and his wife can pop in and make sure I’m behaving myself. I can recommend it to anybody, it’s so very homely, it doesn’t overwhelm you in any way and I love it.

Relax and connect

The community room allow us to mingle, talk and interact with residents. They run their own show including exercise classes, happy hour, craft group and book club. Our community garden allows residents to grow their own vegetables and enjoy gardening activities. We make sure residents are able to just live and enjoy life without having to worry about other things that go into a house.
