Earlier this month, Rev Brett Watterson was warmly welcomed as the new Rector of the Anglican Parish of Wagga Wagga before a church filled with parishioners and clergy, many of whom had travelled considerable distances to attend.

In recognition of our shared values, goals, and mission, a number of Anglicare staff attended the service, including Anglicare Chaplain Sue Robertson, Director of Youth, Family and Health Services Jasmine Woodland, and team members from our Out of Home Care and Youth and Family Services teams.

In his welcome address, Rev Watterson spoke about the ongoing partnership between the parish and Anglicare, saying:

“I pray that the parish council, the ministry team, and indeed the whole parish community, working together and also in conjunction with Anglicare, will be continually ignited by the Holy Spirit to strive with a common purpose and vision: to love God and to love each other as Christ first loved us, so that we may all know and live in the love of Jesus now and into the future.”
